Winnie, our esteemed founder and registered psychologist, possesses over 14 years of invaluable experience and practice in the field. Her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact led her to embark on her psychology career as a counsellor with the Victoria Aboriginal Health Services, where she developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Driven by her profound sense of empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference, Winnie established Rosewood Clinic with a clear purpose: to provide unwavering support and guidance to those who are facing struggles. She believes that every person deserves a chance to overcome obstacles and transition through life's challenges, especially during critical and vulnerable stages.

 

With Winnie, you can expect a therapeutic approach that is grounded in compassion, humor, respect, and honesty. She creates a safe and nurturing space where individuals can explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences, facilitating transformative growth and healing. Winnie's passion lies in helping individuals harness their inner strengths, discover resilience, and develop effective coping strategies.

 

Winnie offers clients strategies that facilitate change and empower their potential by drawing on a range of psychological approaches such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential, Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).  She also provides psycho-education in the counselling process.

 

Winnie sees clients with a broad range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, PTSD and is experienced working with refugees.  She is able to provide counselling services in English as well as Vietnamese and works with youth and adults.
