Electrical muscle stimulation can be used to assist in strengthening very weak pelvic floor muscles

This is achieved by stimulating a passive contraction of the pelvic floor muscles through the transmission of low-grade electrical impulses to the nerves that supply these muscles, as well as the bladder and bowel. This non-invasive treatment has no internal probes and is safe and comfortable throughout the entire session.

The purpose of training the pelvic floor is to increase muscle mass and to improve pelvic floor awareness.

Your initial consultation will include an ultrasound assessment. You will then get changed into your EMS suit & connected to the EMS machine.
You will have a one-on-one session with a qualified trainer. The session will go for 20 minutes
Post workout you will be given a refreshment, and shower towel, and continue on with your busy day!

Pelvic Floor Electrotherapy is significantly different from conventional physiotherapy. Pelvic Floor Electrotherapy promotes muscle contractions by an electrical impulse. The electrical impulses use mid-frequency current, which stimulates the muscles directly, compared to low-frequency current, which simulates the nerve endings. Mid-frequency stimulation does not damage the skin nor does it cause any discomfort or pain.

Pelvic floor weakness affects over 5 million Australians every year. Incontinence and pelvic floor issues can lead to mental health issues over time.

Our pelvic floor treatments are specifically tailored to each individual and their health concerns.

Once we have created a treatment plan for you, we will give you close instruction to master your technique and steadily advance your progress until your symptoms are reduced.
